Ask the nurse which certificate appears in the record. Match it to the work the nurse will do for you.
Ask which ages and health needs that certificate covers. Have the nurse explain how your own care fits.
Ask whether the nurse can prescribe for your care
As of October 3, 2026, Arizona lets nurse practitioners make care decisions without doctor supervision, within the work their license permits. A
Writing medicine orders also needs the Nursing Board’s permission. That permission is limited to treating the patient groups covered by the nurse’s training. A
This does not give permission to prescribe any requested peptide. A

As of October 3, 2026, the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants offers PA license checks. C
A PA with fewer than 8,000 hours of patient-care experience confirmed by the board needs a signed agreement for doctor oversight. D
These are hours of work experience, not hours spent with you. At 8,000 confirmed hours or more, that agreement is not required. D
Prescribing must fit the PA’s training and skill. D
Even without that agreement, the PA must work with other health professionals, ask for their advice or send patients to them when the care calls for it. D
The board also requires a named doctor or health-care organization for this work together. Ask who that is and how to reach them. D
